Quote from TheServerSide.com e-mail. I don’t have internet here. Can someone post the complete article?

SQL Server 2005: Pricing and Open Source
Microsoft has released the pricing model for SQL Server 2005 for all editions including the MSDE replacement Express edition. Also in the news is a statement by Tom Rizzo, Product Manager for SQL Server 2005 that Microsoft is considering, based on customer demand, open sourcing SQL Server 2005.

    Hi Mitch,

There was a SQL SIG in Canberra. But I haven't heard from them for a
    while.

    Hi Greg,

    >From the site its hard to know what our local group is. It seems there
    is nothing that says:

"Go here for info on the Canberra SQL Server User Group"

So I can't really answer your first question. But that might contribute
to the second ;-) I'd love to see sqlserver.org.au as an aggregation
point for all information relating to SQL Server, so if it subbed to a
whole heap of RSS feeds that I could then just feed off.

Also - things like events need to have RSS feeds so that I know they are
coming up - otherwise I just won't make it to the events - and it looks
like there have been some interesting ones.

    Hi Folks,

Can I please get some feedback on two items:

    1. Topics you'd find useful at your local sql server user groups.
    2. Things you'd find useful to have available on our Australian sql
    server portal? (sqlserver.org.au)

These would be good to feed into the current planning.

    Thanks in advance,

    Greg
