I can't hold it in any longer

    Eric Raymond claims to have had a job offer from Microsoft. He so hasn't. If you actually read the letter he got sent (which he didn't), it's an invitation to apply. I've gotten these too, and if you go through the process the next step is a phone interview, possibly followed by a face to face. It just means they noticed he's an engineer, not that they actually think he's worth hiring.

    Eric, get a grip.

    In fact his response was so childish beyond belief I think it actually harms the open Source community by highlighting the stupidity, arrogance and ignorance that is held within the community. The only way to move forward is to distance yourselves from those of less intelligence like this clown

    One of the things which frustrates me about Eric is that he claims to speak for the Open Source community. I sure don't remember electing him, and he certainly doesn't represent my views. I think it's time that people started outing these self-appointed pundits and start to use people who actually represent their best interests.
