It turns out that seemingly no one in my apartment complex has got a delivery from Fedex in the last week or so... It would seem the local driver is simply too lazy to actually deliver packages. I guess that makes it a little hard for people who are waiting for those last few Christmas presents to arrive. In our case it was something medical, which makes it worse in my mind.
Oh, and guess what? There's no refund process from Fedex, even though they have failed to deliver on their product (three day shipping, we've waited six so far). So, no more Fedex for me.

Is this blog site keeping Canberra time? It's not Christmas yet in Mountain View. Glad to see you and James made it home.

Is it "guaranteed" three days, because guarantees are only guarantees if they have consequences, otherwise they are false advertising.
I was foolish enough to get a $80 book shipped via USPS once, Amazon sent a replacement when it didn't turn up. The replacement had a very clear footprint from a boot on it, but at least it arrived.

In my experience in the US, FedEx call center service is a bit ponderous. However, you can request refunds online: https://www.fedex.com/servlet/InvoiceServlet?link=4&jsp_name=adjustment&orig_country=US&language=english. The catch may be that if this is something you bought online, the vendor should be the one requesting the refund, and you should ask for your shipping money back from the vendor.
