A: No, the document properties are probably all there is. If the file is created with Acrobat tools, the document properties are filled in.

Unfortunately, most PDF creators that were written in the bathtub on a Friday afternoon do NOT do this, though these are the creators that one most needs to identify, because the PDF files are most likely to be buggy.

Note that I am referring here to the creation software; I don't particularly care what person made it.

2. Adobe PDFWriter stops ODMA from working in MS Office

Q: Some people have noted that ODMA stops working within their Microsoft Office suites because they have the Adobe PDFWriter loaded. [Q139]

A: This is because the PDFWriter is written in VBA, and when you have VBA loaded some office applications incorrectly identify themselves as "MS VB" to the ODMA DMS. The solution is to unload the PDFWriter macro.

I wonder if PDF supports multiple views (or any other software). That is, I want to create a document in LaTeX (a math document) and convert it to a PDF. Yet, I want to allow the user to choose how they want to see it. The document will be arranged in sections, I want it to hide certain sections unless a user wants to see them. Basically, the user can choose to see a more in depth explanation if needed. Is there a way to do this perhaps in the menu? [Q163]

A: Take a look at "Stratify PDF" from http://www.lantanarips.com/

4. Adobe Certified Expert Questions

Q: Due to circumstances beyond my control ... like being laid off very soon ... I am looking at working for myself as an Acrobat specialist. Having an Acrobat certification will add, I believe, a little credibility to my qualifications.

Can anybody point me to a site that has sample questions, maybe a dozen or so, of the Acrobat certification test (previous versions of Acrobat are OK) so that I can see what type of questions they have, how they are phrased, what to look for, etc.? [Q167]

A: I've been an ACE for 3 years now and it has offered me no advantage in the workforce. I'm in Canada, and the ACE designation is unknown and of no real world value here. Things could be different in other countries.

5. The different between Adobe ebook and PDF?

Q: What is the difference between these two formats? [Q182]

A: An Acrobat e-book is a PDF with a special kind of encryption that Acrobat Reader does not understand, but Acrobat e-book Reader does understand.
