Q: What PDF displayers other than those from Adobe are available? [Q164]

A: Try Ghostscript.

The raster data problem has been fixed for PDF production since version 6.51 (and especially 7.03 is very good for PDF reading and writing, to my finding). So can I assume that the raster data problem occurs when using the PostScript output capabilities? If this is the case, what do you generate the PostScript from? If from preexisting PostScript files, and depending on the needs, PSutils (possibly with some help from NetPBM tools) could be useful.
