So, the code for YUV420 to RGB24 conversion now works, which is good. It's a little embarrassing that this took a couple of hours. At one point I mistook y for Y, and had a sign error. Oh well...

For colour conversion stuff, you might like to check out www.fourcc.org
Also, ffmpeg has optimised colourspace conversion for a bunch of formats. GStreamer has a copy in the gst-plugins CVS module (gst/ffmpegcolorspace directory).
