| Deathworld One |
![]() ISBN: 0722143508 LibraryThing | This is an interesting book. Its quite Stainless Steel Rat like in approach. There is a slightly crooked male lead character, who has unusual insight. He has a beautiful female side kick, who has a strong personality of her own. The story is slightly humorous, and amazing. This is probably the most exciting book I've read in the last couple of months, and I look forward to the two others in the series. |

Wow! This brings back memories of my misspent youth! Yes... Jason dinAlt! I have fond memories. :)
I was an avid SciFi reader (Still am actually, just less time these days). I read these in the 70's and spent the next decade or so buying every Harry Harrison book I could get my hands on (amongst several other SciFi authors).
There are in fact 6 books in the Deathworld series, but the recent 3 publications are in Russian only and there are no plans to translate them into English (according to HH's blog) sadly! :(
Ahem. I actually came here because I just bought your ImageMagic Book and thought I'd grab the code to play with (because I'm a typically lazy developer). :D I have a project that I think ImageMagic & Coppermine will be suitable for.
Anyway, thanks for the very useful ImageMagic book and the great memories! I hope you enjoy the Deathword Trilogy as I did, and The Stainless Steal Rat also. Currently, I'm a big fan of Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld series. :)
I'm an Aussie BTW, Melb.
Cheers,
Paul.
