15:15: Mikal shared: Get used to paying for bigger military: experts - ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation)
- There have been a few articles like this that have as an underlying assumption that US power is on the downward slope of its curve. I think that's an interesting trend, especially when they don't discuss whether the US is actually on the decline and just assume we all agree with that statement. I wonder how American's feel about these sorts of assumptions?

I think it has more to do with the rise of China (and to some extent India) that we're seeing in Asia.
Move $$$s that flow into these countries is likely to strip money away from the US.... and thus less on their milatry budgets.
Remember also, 2/5 ths of the world's population is either Chinese or Indian!
