	Well, we moved into our new house in late 2003, and we're now in a street which is vaguely famous for it's Christmas lights (I'm not aware of any other suburban streets in Canberra which are one way for a single month of the year). So we thought we should join in. Apart from the boring lights on the barge board, which anyone can do, I thought I would give something a little more artistic a try. The intention is to add a little bit each year, so initially, the display is a little basic.


	The making of Twinkle Tux As a hobbyist Linux kernel hacker, it struck me as obvious that the first thing I should make is a Tux made out of fairy lights. Tux is the official Linux mascot.
