12:42: Mikal shared: Facebook's Kelly: Our targeted ads aren't creepy
- Oh, I don't know. The ads asking me if I want to resign from Google yet are pretty creepy.
12:42: Mikal shared: The Server Farm as a Plot Device
- I tend to hate current-day technology thrillers about computers. I wonder if this is a train wreck or not?
12:42: Mikal shared: City in Montana requires job applicants to hand over all social network logins and passwords for background checks
- Wow. I'm not sure I can even remember every site I have a logon to, and I'm sure as hell not sharing that information with a bunch of public servants for a "background check". These are the same organizations who collect social security numbers and then immediately lose them.
12:42: Mikal shared: HTC Magic - Vodafone Online Store
- I didn't realize that the magic had launched in Australia. $5 a month on the $49 plan, or free on a $69 a month plan. That's cool.
12:42: Mikal shared: Huawei's E583X wireless modem turns 3G to WiFi, beautiful lights
- Dear Vodafone: this is how people are going to solve your extremely stupid "we only sell reasonable data plans on separate SIMs" policy. We're all going to end up with a separate data SIM in one of these.
Perhaps instead of making us jump through hoops, you could just sell me the 4GB a month for $40 as an add on to my existing phone SIM?
