    Hi Jason,

I'm using Aptana [http://www.aptana.com] for all my _javascript_ing (well, only for the .js files anyway), it does produce a prompt if the file has been updated outside of itself, does do colour coding, intellisense (also tells you which browsers support what you're using).

There is no refactoring support though.

Ok VS sucks for _javascript_ editing. So what do the .net folks really use.

I just read some details about IntelliJ IDEA and it sounds kind of cute, built in refactoring etc.
I'm curious if anyone is using this or any other editors to do their core _javascript_ coding, or mention ones that plain right suck.

    Things that I'd like.
    • Notification of file modified/prompt to reload (since I'll have file open in VS and another editor at same time)
    • colour coding,
    • intellisense
    • squiggly lines for errors (I know I'm petty)
    Nice to have:
    • built in refactoring (simple) like method/function renames.

PS I'm on a PC not a Mac.

    Thanks,
    Jason
