    Hi Jason,

I get ReSharper to generate js for me inside of VS. I can send you an exported copy of the snippets I use if you also use R#? It’s a simple XML file that you can import. You then just type something like “jsclass” or “jsmethod” or “jsregclass”.

It’s all geared towards ASP.NET Ajax though...

    Regards,

           Andrew

Ok VS sucks for _javascript_ editing. So what do the .net folks really use.

I just read some details about IntelliJ IDEA and it sounds kind of cute, built in refactoring etc.

I'm curious if anyone is using this or any other editors to do their core _javascript_ coding, or mention ones that plain right suck.

    Things that I'd like.

    • Notification of file modified/prompt to reload (since I'll have file open in VS and another editor at same time)
    • colour coding,
    • intellisense
    • squiggly lines for errors (I know I'm petty)

    Nice to have:

    • built in refactoring (simple) like method/function renames.

PS I'm on a PC not a Mac.

    Thanks,
    Jason
