From memory you can only do this if your server is running IIS6.

 

Have a look around at GZIP compression for IIS6.

I haven't been able to get GZIP compression working properly on our Windows 2003 test server over here in my limited time trying to get it going.

 

I've been using the Fiddler Tool (www.fiddlertool.com) and it's been saying that my pages are still uncompressed. When I have a bit more time, i'll go try some of the other suggestions in the other articles. I've only tried what is in the first article, so try your luck and see how you go!

Anyone have any free resources on http compression...did not realise that broswers support compression...   I want to compress most of my pages in asp.net 1.1 if possible....   AnthonyS
