Hi Chris,

 

If you are interested there is an ActiveX control called Videocap available from www.viscomsoft.com that makes this exact task quick and easy. Not sure if you prefer to go down that path, but if deadlines are an issue, this should help you. It simplified my VB6 project and got it done on time.

Hi All

 

Does anyone know how to change the preview pin resolution in directx->directshow programmatically without using the property pages?

 

Alternatively is there a way to programatically capture a still from a streaming video source  (i.e. from the video stream overlay)? 

I was doing a client side “screen capture” but my video source comes out as a black box L

 

Any ideas greatly appreciated
