Yep, mini-SD and mini-USB. It's a path a lot of other mobile phone manufacturers are going down to help reduce the mobile phone size. Guess minimising the form factor == mobile phone is lighter! My brother's Nokia 6230 also has the MMC card situated underneath the battery (near the SIM card). The good news is having it underneath means it is less likely you'll lose the little mini-SD card. >From memory, I think the MPX220 uses the standard SD cards. Also, IIRC the two new phones below don't use regular SD cards - they use mini-SD (which are smaller), and the slot isn't accessible externally (it's underneath the battery) necessitating turning the phone off to change the card, so I would advice getting the biggest SD card you can afford (or at least one big enough to store a reasonable number of mp3s) Cheers Ken -------- Original Message -------- > From: "Jarrod Oakley" <jarrod@xxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Monday, September 20, 2004 10:34 PM > To: dotnet@xxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: [aus-dotnet] Smartphones > > Thanks William, > > SP3i looks great! By this I mean regular size (say a standard nokia), regular weight (around 100g), camera, maybe mp3....... > > any info regarding the phones, prices and release dates would be great > > Jarrod _________________ You are a part of the Australian "dotnet" mailing list.
