    Everyone always instantly blames the water for crypto or giardia. It is way more likely Andrew got it from another child (maybe at Ikea or another child care place) or a public pool (?). Doctors always jump to the conclusion that gastro type illnesses are from the drinking water, when in reality it is highly unlikely. Particularly given it appears to be an isolated case. Be carefull with the water filter, I have seen plenty of cases of illness caused by a water filter (if the filters aren't replaced regularly they are perfect breading ground for bacteria).
